Mothers all around the world have selflessly provided us with so much throughout generations; life, unwavering support -and if you\u2019re me-, clothes from their wardrobe. This year, Wordans wants to pay tribute to Mother\u2019s Day in a different way!<\/span><\/p>

Clothes have a special place in our lives and even moreso if there is meaning attached to them.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

And since creating impactful pieces is what we do here at Wordans, members of our team were asked which particular piece of clothing reminded them of their mom and just how mother\u2019s day helps them recall special outfits.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Describing my mother\u2019s fashion in one word is easy: it\u2019s practical. Because she spends a lot of time outside walking the dog, she always has a jacket on. Especially her <\/span>soft-shell jacket<\/strong><\/span><\/a>; you never see her without it! Side-note: she will say that the dog wasn\u2019t bought as a replacement for me but the timing can\u2019t just be a coincidence. Suspicious? I think so.<\/span><\/p>

My mom is an artist and creates her pieces from home. So, anything that\u2019s practical and comfortable like round-neck sweaters instantly transport me home to her studio.<\/span><\/p>

The first thing that comes to mind is her over-sized, <\/span>baby pink t-shirt<\/a><\/strong>. Let\u2019s be honest: there\u2019s nothing that can beat a big tee! This is the perfect example of clothes with a story. Since she has passed it on to me, it has become my go-to pajama top. We live in different countries so having this t-shirt will always make me feel close to her.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Another example of my mom\u2019s fashion is rooted deep in my childhood! She would always wear this light-blue summer dress. It makes me so happy to just picture it; the dress was a loose fit and what made it stand-out was the traditional Finnish pattern.<\/span><\/p>

My Peruvian mother has had a major influence in my wardrobe choices. So for me, fashion sense is the perfect Mother\u2019s Day tribute.<\/span><\/p>

When I think of my mom, deep and striking colors like burgundy and black crop up. And she won\u2019t be seen in something that doesn\u2019t flatter her! My mom\u2019s signature style iis a combination of a<\/span> form-fitting long-sleeve shirt<\/a><\/strong>, bold high-heeled boots and classic hoop earrings.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

My mother was a forward-thinking fashion icon and honestly, we were completely oblivious it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Since the 80s, she would always wear a <\/span>fanny pack<\/a><\/strong>. You know, back when they were in vogue. My brothers and I used to make fun of her for having one. And now that EVERYBODY is wearing them, she\u2019s getting her pay-back!<\/span><\/p>

And this is how I\u2019ve pictured her as a teenager!<\/span><\/p>

And if I could, I\u2019d pay a tribute solely to grandmother for all of the vintage pieces that I\u2019ve taken from her wardrobe.<\/span><\/p>
