Which Brand Offers the Best Blank Hoodies?

Buying blank hoodies has various advantages. If, like me, you don’t like paying through the nose for a simple piece of clothing, it’s ideal. They’re generally much better value for money, so if designer labels are not important to you, it’s a sensible option.

Blank hoodies are also great for customization. Printing your own design or logo is a great way to add some individuality to your wardrobe. You can also make personalized gifts, uniforms, or merchandise. These days, hoodies are incredibly common in this regard, thanks to their universal popularity.

When buying one, there are a multitude of brands to choose from, which can complicate things a little. Fortunately, we’ve scoured the market for you, and picked out our five favorites. Read on to learn which blank hoodies are the best, and why.

Man modelling the gray 3719 Hoodie from Bella+Canvas

Bella+Canvas is known for making high-quality clothing. Its 3719 hoodie is the number one seller, and it’s easy to see why. Available in over 60 colors, making it the largest range in our field. The unisex fit is a fairly relaxed one.

The material is 60% cotton, with a poly-fleece lining, for added comfort, This hoodie is also a slightly lighter option, suitable for sport, or to put on top of other layers when it’s cold. Available from XS up to 3XL, their blank hoodies are easily customizable.

Best for: Quality and Range of Colors

Perhaps the best-known brand on our list is Fruit of the Loom, known for its amazing value. You can get blank, customizable hoodies for less than $10, and the quality is very decent for the price. We recommend spending a little more though, its Sofspun hoodies are still great value, but the material is much nicer, and the two-tone hoods are a lovely touch, giving them a more individual quality.

The unisex fit ranges from S up to 3XL, and while it doesn’t have the range of Bella+Canvas, there are still a number of options color-wise. You generally have between 6-12 choices, depending on the hoodie.

Best for: Price and the Top Pick

Not quite as economical as Gildan or Fruit of the Loom, Next Level is a shade cheaper than Bella+Canvas, its hoodies cost around $20, but are also excellent quality. Its regular-fit hoodies might be the most stylish of all the options. They also use the 60-40% split of cotton and poly-fleece, to give you that extra comfort.

One thing that sets Next Level apart is its ladies options, for both hoodies and other sweaters. The 9384 Cropped hoodie is one of our favorites.

Best for: Style and Women’s Options

Gildan joins Fruit of the Loom in the top choices for value for money. They may not have hoodies that are quite as low-priced as its competitor’s cheapest, but in general its hoodies are a shade cheaper. The 18500 is maybe the most popular blank hoodie around. Available in over 40 colors, the hoodie is a little thicker, heavier and shorter than many equivalents. It’s really snug, and goes brilliantly with the sofa in winter.

There is a bigger range of sizes than with other options, going from XS up to 5XL. Another cotton/polyester blend, but at 50/50. The regular fit is unisex, and available in adult or kids sizes. As with all our previously mentioned options, it can be customized.

Best for: Sizes and Value

The Augusta Sportswear 5539 Hoodie in blue

Augusta makes specialist sportswear, so you pay a little more than with our other brands, but you get quality gear that can be used for sport, but still looks as trendy as the other options out there. Its camo cowl necks are particularly nice to look at. They have the typical 60/40 cotton/polyester blends, but Augusta also specializes in 100% polyester hoodies that wick moisture- draw it away from the skin. This is part of the reason for its reputation as a top choice for sportswear.

The range of colors varies, but its blank hoodies can have over 20 different options. Sadly, unlike our other choices, you cannot yet customize Augusta Sportswear’s hoodies.

Best for: Sports and Hiking

The Verdict

Our five contenders have all made the cut because each of them makes quality blank hoodies. So whichever you choose, you won’t be disappointed. Augusta is clearly the best for sport, and with Bella+Canvas versus Next Level in the slightly pricier range- Bella+Canvas just take it. Its enormous range of colors combines perfectly with the option to customize, giving you the perfect way to release your inner creator.

The cheaper options are Fruit of the Loom and Gildan. Both are great but we really absolutely love Fruit of the Loom’s Sofspun range, especially the SF76R. These two-tone hoodies are super stylish, and the range of colors is excellent.
